Ranked as one of America's top national universities by U.S. News and World Report, the Department of intercollegiate Athletics is also home to the best and brightest student-athletes in Division I. With a combined 3.12 grade point average and a graduation rate in the top 7% of all NCAA Division I schools, Loyola student-athletes are successful in the classroom as well as on the playing field. Loyola is home to 11 varsity teams, including men's basketball, women's basketball, cross country, men's golf, women's golf, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, track, men's volleyball, and women's volleyball.

You don't have to be varsity to get involved in sports. Club Sports are student organized groups that practice together as a team and compete agains other universities and/or local sports clubs. Club Sports include baseball, men's ice hockey, men's lacross, tennis, and women's volleyball.

The Fitness/Wellness program at Halas Sports Center strives to provide a diverse selection of quality recreational activities for individuals to pursue fitness, wellness, and leisure opportunities which enhance their personal development and establish habits for a healthy lifestyle.

Intramural sports are teams of friends, other students, faculty, and staff members from across the university. Teams are scheduled into leagues with a regular game season with the possibility of playoffs. If you are an individual who would like to play but don't have a team you can sign up as a free agent.

The Rambler Rowdies support men’s and women’s basketball. For each men’s and women’s basketball games and other select athletic events that you attend, you will receive Rowdies Points. Win prizes, meet other Rowdies, and cheer on our athletic teams! Rambler Rowdies are joined by LU Wolf, Loyola's mascot, at every game.
