Applying for Graduate Assistantships

Ramblerlink

The Division of Student Development uses RamblerLink for Graduate Assistantship applications.  All applications must be made online; no hard copies will be accepted.  If you are a currently enrolled Loyola University Chicago student you can log into RamblerLink using your UVID & current password.  If you are not a currently enrolled student or a recent graduate of Loyola (May 2009 or later), you will need to request a RamblerLink username and password.

To request a username & password to RamblerLink - Send an e-mail to CareerCenter@luc.edu including your name, e-mail address, phone and the academic program that you are applying to.  Please indicate in the e-mail that you are requesting a username & password so that you may apply for a Graduate Assistantship in the Division of Student Development.  You will receive an email within two business days of the request.  Please keep in mind that much of the application period falls over the winter holidays so plan accordingly.

The RamblerLink application is for Division of Student Development assistantships ONLY.  It does not serve as an application (a) to a graduate program or (b) for assistantships in either the Graduate School or the School of Education.  Please contact the appropriate office for copies of those applications.

RESUME AND COVER LETTER

After logging into RamblerLink you will need to upload your resume and cover letter for each assistantship that you are interested in.  Unless you prefer otherwise, you may use the same resume for any assistantship application in the Division of Student Development.  All applicants should include the names, addresses and phone numbers of three professional references.

The information entered may be saved on RamblerLink, but it does not permit you to retain an electronic copy.  Therefore, please print a hard copy of your application if you would like to retain a copy for your own records.

You may apply for a maximum of five position within the Division of Student Development.  The Division requires a separate cover letter for each position for which you apply to demonstrate a genuine interest in that position.  Please see the GA Application Overview for cover letter requirements.  Cover letters should be addressed to:

Joseph Canino
Operations Manager
Office of the Vice President of Student Development
Loyola University Chicago
1032 W. Sheridan Road
Chicago, IL  60660

Electronic copies of your application, resume and cover letter will be forwarded to the appropriate office for review.  Please do not send duplicate copies directly to departments.
