The City of Brighton - Brighton, first developed as a holiday resort in the early 19th century, is located on the southern coast of England. Today it is a hub of activity all year round. Its European atmosphere attracts all kinds of people and leaves them with an enduring affection for the town, it community, and its quirks. Brighton is conveniently located only 30 minutes from Gatwich airport, an hour from London, and thirty minutes from Newhaven, which has ferry crossings to France. Despite being small enough for you to be able to run into friends in the center, Brighton is surprisingly cosmopolitan- often dubbed "London by -the- sea". With the sea on one side and the South Downs on the other, the open air is never far away.
