The City of Cork - Cork, the second largest city in Ireland, is located on the south coast, 160 miles southwest of the capital, Dublin. The greater Cork area has a population in excess of 200,000. The city is a busy seaport and is the home of a large number of industries including electronics, pharmaceutical, brewing and food processing. The surrounding environment is as varied as it is beautiful. Cork is ideally situated at the head of the inlet of Cork Harbor with the sea just to the south, mountains, hills and river valleys to the north and east, and the well-known lakes of Killarney only ninety minutes to the west.

Types of Accommodation
Apartment Style Complexes - Limited accommodation is available in these complexes. They are modern and convenient to downtown Cork and the UCC campus.
Youth Hostel - Another housing option is a single room in a youth hostel. The cost is about $62/week. This includes electricity and continental breakfast. Student share kitchen and bathroom facilities.
Home Stays - Family accommodation is also an alternative. Student live in a private home where bed, breakfast and a substantial evening meal are provided at a cost of about $100/week.
Rented Apartment or House - Students may choose to rent accommodations directly from privates owners. It is possible to rent an apartment or house shared with other students. Generally a house rented by a group of 4-5 students costs about $50-$60 per person/week.

2008-2009 - $9,880 per semester, $19,760 for the year, $1,600 Fall Early Start additional fee
2009- 2010 - $10,480 per semester, $20,960 for the year, $1,600 Fall Early Start additional fee
