Internship & Service Learning
Loyola University Chicago offers programs in over a dozen countries in which students can participate in internships, service learning projects, fieldwork positions and work-study overseas. These types of projects offer numerous opportunities for you to immerse yourself in the culture and community, meet the local people and gain practical experience related to your interests and/or career goals.
Guidelines
- Internship/field placement positions generally offer academic credit and no financial compensation (but as there are a couple of exceptions, please check the individual listings for further information).
- With the exception of most summer programs, the internship component is one course among several that you would select as part of your overall study abroad experience.
- If you are attempting to meet an internship requirement of your Loyola college/department, please obtain the approval of the department chair prior to enrolling.
- Internship availability is subject to change. Students should request that a Loyola study abroad advisor check on current offerings.
