The City of Reading - Reading, population 140,000, is the government seat of the of the Royal County of Berkshire and is situated on the River Thames, 40 miles west of London and about 25 miles southeast of Oxford. The city is a thriving center of commerce and industry. Reading is a blend of old and new , with red brick buildings adjacent to modern commercial buildings. Remains of what was once one of Europe.s larger and richer abbey complexes still stand, and in the Reading museum you can see a collection of Roman antiquities including the famous Silchester Eagle. Some of the most beautiful stretches of the Thames, the Chilterns, and the Bershire Downs are within easy reach. London is easily reached from Reading in less than half and hour by train. The Reading area.s location and attractions have made it home to some of the best-known Brits, such as Beatle Paul McCartney and Sting.

Types of Accommodation
- University Residence Halls - There are 15 residence halls offered for housing to USAC students. Each of the residence halls accommodates both men and women. The halls vary in age, size and character, but are all within easy reach of the campus. They also provide a range of study, domestic, and social facilities. Most of the rooms are single bedrooms with shared bathrooms and pantries. Most halls have a dining room serving three meals a day Monday through Friday and two meals a day on weekends. Living in a residence halls costs approximately $600/month, including the 19 meals per week plan
Programs Fees
2007-2008 - $6,980 per semester, $13,960 per year
*Does not include room, board, personal expenses, textbooks, and airfare
Loyola Fees - $1000 for yearlong and semester, $500 for summer
