Loyola University Chicago welcomes applications from well-prepared and highly motivated students who will have completed their sophomore or junior year before enrolling in the Summer Scholars program for the challenge of college coursework. Prospective students should have a minimum 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and an excellent record of attendance.

SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS

• Official High School transcripts
• Personal Statement
• Two completed Counselor/Teacher recommendation forms
• Two creative writing samples **required only for students applying to the creative writing class

Students who will complete their senior year of high school prior to the start of the summer should refer to our Summer Sessions program.

Please note that admission to the Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars program is for this summer program only, and does not constitute admission as an undergraduate student at Loyola University Chicago. Students are invited to apply for regular Undergraduate Admission.
