Support the Gannon Center

Their future. Your legacy.

Dear Alumnae and Friends,

Every day I am amazed at the many ways my college education at Mundelein has shaped my life, perspectives, and commitments. During conversations with alumnae, I have heard how our Mundelein education is as relevant today as when we were students. Since becoming the director of the Gannon Center for Women and Leadership, I have seen our mission extend beyond our walls into the greater University and beyond. The reach of the Gannon Center continues to expand through the research, reflection, and action of our students who have been funded through your contributions.

It has become more challenging in recent years to adequately fund our scholarship programs. While tuition has continued to rise, funding for our scholarship programs has not kept pace. The current $4,000 annual scholarship award to our Gannon Scholars covers only 12.5 percent of their undergraduate tuition. In our latest strategic plan, we have prioritized increasing our scholarship endowment to award scholarship dollars that more adequately reflect the importance and commitment of the Gannon Scholars Leadership Program to attracting promising students and developing young women leaders.

I would like to suggest two ways you can join us in securing a future for the Gannon Center and the students we serve: 1) give the gift of scholarship through Loyola’s Access to Excellence: The Campaign for Scholarships, and 2) remember Mundelein College with an estate gift to the Gannon Center. Every gift makes a difference as we work together to transform our world for the common good.

I invite your support at a level that is meaningful to you in continuing your legacy and the legacy of Mundelein College. Thank you in advance for your generous support.

Cordially,

Janet Sisler

Director of the Gannon Center for Women and Leadership
