Tiki Torch Fuel
Loyola University Chicago's Biodiesel Program is currently selling biodiesel tiki torch fuel. This clean burning, insect repelling fuel is perfect for replacing petroleum based tiki torch fuel for barbecues, outdoor events, and restaurants.
Therefore I started to wonder if there were any alternative fuel sources that could be used instead of traditional tiki torch fuel which is kerosene. Starting my work at Loyola’s Biodiesel Program during the Fall semester of 2010 allowed me to realize that we could use biodiesel for tiki torch fuel. I decided that it was time for some healthy competition and embarked on my own process of making fuel for torches and lamps.”
