The Biodiesel Program accepts donations of used cooking oil from the Chicagoland area. If you have recently deep-fried a turkey, or have a jar of bacon grease...we'll take it! All vegetable oil donated to Loyola will be turned into 100% renewable fuel: biodiesel.
We are gearing up to expand our oil collection and biodiesel production 1,200% in the coming years. We will need more used cooking oil and biodiesel users. Oil donations to Loyola University Chicago are tax deductible and all logistics are handled by the Loyola Biodiesel Program. For more information please contact us.
To donate your oil please drop-off your oil in sealed containers at the Institute of Environmental Sustainability: 6349 N. Kenmore Ave. Chicago, IL 60660, Room 109. Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
If you want to see the Clean Energy Lab please contact the Lab Manager, Zach Waickman (email@example.com 773-508-8852) to schedule a visit.
Loyola has a professional oil collection service, Chicago Biofuels, who can pick-up your cooking oil at your restaurant, cafeteria, or food processing facility at no cost. By partnering with Loyola University Chicago and Chicago Biofuels we can guarantee that your oil gets turned into clean burning biodiesel right here in Chicago! Check out our recent collaboration with Northwestern University.
All donations are tax deductible.
