Exploring Global Feminist Theologies in Postcolonial Space:

A Learning and Research Immersion Project for Feminist Graduate Students and Post-graduates from Africa and the US

Creating space to speak together is a critical endeavor for feminist theology. In June of 2009, graduate students from Loyola joined African women graduate students in Nairobi, Kenya for a course and symposium on global feminist theologies. The project brought together and mentored beginning feminist theologians from African countries and the United States in order to create a space where they listened to one another and engaged in constructive dialogue and collaborative research.
