Service Learning

Loyola offers a wide array of service-learning courses. Students in theological studies and religious studies may be interested in exploring these opportunities to combine course credit with community service. Loyola has instituted the Magis Program to facilitate student placements with service learning opportunities for course credit. See the Magis Program website for more information. The Theology Department also regularly offers courses with service-learning components, including Theo 192: Moral Problems: Urban Issues, taught at the Water Tower Campus by Ms. Elizabeth Collier. Students are also encouraged to consider taking courses in Loyola's Institute of Pastoral Studies that offers service/ ministry dimensions.
