About

Yarina Liston, Ph.D. is a full time lecturer at Loyola University, Chicago. She holds a BS degree from the University of Southern California in Business Administration and a Masters Degree from New York University in Religious Studies. She earned her Ph.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia. She specializes in Buddha's biography in Sanskrit texts as well as gender in ancient Indian material.

Research Interests

Yarina's current work explores the mind-body connections through meditation and yoga as well as the implications of these intersections for knowledge and education.
