Redevelopment Plan and Project

In 2002, Loyola University, as the largest landowner and institution in the community, agreed to front-fund the cost of feasibility study for a proposed Devon-Sheridan Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District. We believe that a TIF is the right tool to use to jumpstart not only mixed-use development of Loyola property on Sheridan Road but also to look, comprehensively, at Devon and Sheridan as gateways to the campus and the City of Chicago.
