Installing spider from Loyola website
If you don’t have Loyola software on your system.
General Note
- Please DO NOT log off or shut down your machine.
- Prior to running spider it is a good idea to clear your internet cache & Delete Temporary Files. Failure to do these step might result in many false positives results.
- Spider can be run while you are using your machine, but you may see a decrease in performance.
- If you need to pause Spider, click “Stop Spider.” You can restart by then clicking “Start Spider.”
- If you need to cancel Spider, click “Exit” and then follow the instructions again to run Spider at a later time.
Loyola softwares Spider scanning instructions
1] Under Loyola Software, go to Useful Tools.Click on “Spider Scanner.”

2] Spider will install and launch on your machine.

3] A SpiderResults.csv will begin to generate on your desktop.
4] If you want to lock your machine while not in use, pres Ctrl-Alt-Delete and choose “Lock Workstation.”
Spider should finish scanning in 2-3 hrs.
Installing spider from Loyola website
NOTE: You can only access this link if you are onsight at Loyola, or connecting via the VPN.
1] If you don’t have Loyola software on your system you can install spider by Clicking here

2] You will be ask to download spider3.msi file. Choose the Location where you want to save it.

3] Double click & open the spider3.msi file. This will launch an installation wizard.

4] Click Next

5] Click Install

6] Installation wizard will take some time to install.

7] Click Finish.

8] Start the spider scanner from C:\Program Files\Spider3\spider-3.0.exe location

9] A SpiderResults.csv will begin to generate on your desktop.
10] If you want to lock your machine while not in use, pres Ctrl-Alt-Delete and choose “Lock Workstation.”
Spider should finish scanning in 2-3 hrs.
