Aaron Cooper, advancement communications manager, is a lead project manager for development publications. Several of his responsibilities include writing and editing advancement-related messaging, maintaining websites, collaborating on promotional videos, and managing publications such as Il Bollettino and Magis. He joined UMC in November 2011.
Aaron grew up in California and Nebraska, where he attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. There he received a BA in English, graduated from the English honors program, joined Phi Beta Kappa, and wrote opinion columns for the campus newspaper. In Chicago, he earned an MA in Writing from DePaul University and was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta.
Prior to Loyola, Aaron worked for over a decade at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a nonprofit religious organization, where he project-managed development communications for the World Hunger department, wrote feature articles, managed the department website, traveled internationally, and planned national and international leadership trainings. He has also worked as a freelance writer, editor, and web consultant.
