Drew Sottardi is the chief copywriter for the University's Marketing and Communication department. He serves as the creative lead for Loyola's brand marketing campaigns, writing and editing the copy on everything from brochures to posters to radio scripts.
Before coming to Loyola he was a journalist for more than 20 years and worked at some of the nation's premier newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune and the St. Petersburg Times. At the Tribune he worked as a reporter in the graphics department, focusing mainly on news, science, and sports. He also was part of the original team that launched RedEye, the Tribune's newspaper for young professionals.
Drew graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in journalism. He lives with his wife and two daughters on the city's North Side.
