Media Alerts

Audience: Media

Similar to press releases, media alerts are used as a tool to conduct outreach to the media in an effort to generate publicity and awareness around an important Loyola event or news item. Media alerts are shorter in length than press releases and are issued closer to the event date, serving as a final reminder to print and broadcast news assignment desks that an event is scheduled to take place. Media alerts are also an effective outlet when notifying local and national media that the University has experts available to comment on a current crisis or an important news story/social issue.
