Visiting and Non-Degree

If you are a visiting student, you can take classes at Loyola that count toward degree requirements at another college or university. If you are a non-degree-seeking student, you can take classes at Loyola but do not intend to pursue a degree.

Visiting and non-degree-seeking students can apply to Loyola by completing our Non-Degree-Seeking Student Application Form and submitting it to:

Priority Application Deadlines: July 1 for the Fall Semester (August) and November 1 for the Spring Semester (January)

Additional Instructions for International Visiting and Non-Degree Students

If your native language is not English and/or if your primary language of instruction has not been English, you may be required to take the TOEFL or IELTS language tests. The minimum score for TOEFL is 79 (iBT), and the minimum score for IELTS is 6.5.

If you are an F-1 or J-1 student, please complete the Declaration and Certification of Finances Form and submit it with proof of financial resources showing your ability to cover expenses for your time at Loyola.
