Nondegree: Application & Checklist
We'd like to thank you for your interest in non-degree programs at Loyola University Chicago. Whether you are taking a course or earning a certificate to challenge your intellect, cultivate a new interest or investigate a career path, we'd like to help make your application process as simple as possible. Loyola University Chicago classifies students as "non-degree-seeking undergraduate status" if:
- You are taking courses for personal or professional enrichment.
- You are taking courses that you plan to transfer back to your home institution.
- You are not seeking a degree at Loyola.
- You have not been denied admission as a degree-seeking student.
- You are interested in earning one of the following certificates:
- Pre-Professional Studies in Computer Science
- Certificate in Computer Science
- Certificate in Computer Science - Database Applications
- Certificate in Computer Science - Networks & Telecommunications
- Certificate in Computer Science - Web Development
- Certificate in Graphic Design
- Certificate in Statistics
- Certificate in Operations Research
- Certificate in Mathematics
- Certificate in Actuarial Science
TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION AS A NON-DEGREE-SEEKING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT
- Open and print out the application
- Fill it in (please print neatly or type)

Please allow two weeks for us to process your application and inform you of your admission status.
Application deadline for fall admission: July 1. Fall Semester classes begin in late August.
Application deadline for spring admission: November 1. Spring Semester classes begin in January.
Non-degree students are not required to submit transcripts or test scores for admission. If you would like to meet with an academic advisor to discuss course selection, please contact the College of Arts and Sciences Deans Office at 312.915.6520 (Water Tower Campus) or 773.508.3500 (Lake Shore Campus). If you have college transcripts, you may wish to bring a copy to aid in advising.

AFTER ADMISSION
- If the registration period has already opened and it has been two business days since you've received notification that you've been admitted, you may register for classes through Loyola's Online Connection to University Services (LOCUS). Simply follow the instructions to register.
- If the registration period hasn't opened, please visit the Office of Registration and Records Website to find out when you may register.
AFTER REGISTRATION
- You may also check your registration status or add or drop a class by using LOCUS.
