Chief of Staff

Matthew Razek

Matt Razek is a senior at Loyola, majoring in Psychology. Matt has been on the USGA during his entire Loyola career. He was elected as a Freshman Representative on the Senate his first-year and served as Speaker of the Senate his sophomore and junior years. Matt enjoys working on the USGA and is grateful for the opportunities it has given him to meet various staff members and help make positive change in Loyola's campuses. Matt also has the privilege of serving on the University Senate, as a Resident Assistant, as Co-Chair of the Maroon & Gold Society, and as an Executive Board member for the Student Ambassadors. Matt is excited for next steps after Graduation where he is currently applying to Higher Education & Student Affairs Masters Programs! Matt's goals for the year are to help foster a sense of involvement and worth within USGA among the student body, so that together we can continue to improve the undergraduate student experience; one of my big passions and goals is ensuring that we have a contested Spring Election Race (something that hasn't happened in many years)!!!

The Chief of Staff serves as an advisor to the President regarding the university and current events. The position serves to mentor student government members and works to ensure organization and personal success. The Chief of Staff assists with the Fall Retreat Weekend, the Spring Leadership Weekend and Banquet, and the Fall and Spring elections, as deemed necessary.
