General Information about Blogs at Loyola
Information Technology Services provides a Wordpress blog platform as a resource for the Loyola community. Administrator or edit access to a blog requires a Loyola ID and password. Users should also be aware that because Wordpress is an open-source platform, all new plugin and theme installation requests must be reviewed and approved by ITS. Existing plugins and themes may be removed at any time if deemed to be a security risk.

Wordpress Updates
Additionally, users should be aware that in order to meet security requirements and compliance, Loyola routinely upgrades Wordpress throughout the year, and cannot guarantee the compatibility of existing plugins or themes with the latest version of Wordpress.  Blog owners bear the responsibility for researching and requesting plugins and themes that will be compatible with the most recent version of Wordpress.

Wordpress Documentation
ITS does not offer blog training. Users are encouraged to visit the Wordpress Basic Usage Documentation site.

To request a blog, access to an existing blog, or more information, please contact the ITS Service Desk at at ITSServiceDesk@luc.edu
