Reception for Jesuit High Schools Class of 2013

Information Commons 4th Floor Lounge

A breakfast for First Year students who are graduates of Jesuit high schools and their families. Our Partners in Mission from the Jesuit community, university administrators and Ministry will be present to welcome you. Breakfast will be served starting at 9:30 A.M. followed by a formal welcome at 10:15 A.M.


12 PM
Discover Rogers Park and Edgewater Walking Tour

Alumni Gym

Take a guided stroll through the surrounding neighborhood with Welcome Week Leaders and enjoy a light lunch at a local eatery! Space is limited, so come early to join a tour group.


2:30 - 4 PM
Genesis Multicultural Student Welcome Reception

Crown Center Auditorium

Join our network of students, faculty and staff as we come together to honor your momentous new beginning! With its campus partners, the Department of Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs welcomes new students of color and their families to the Loyola University Chicago community and shares invaluable information about the many campus resources available to support the unique transition to college life.

Annual Parent Move-In Reception

The annual Parent Move In Reception offers a place on campus for parents to enjoy light refreshments during freshmen move-in. Please join us this year and meet fellow parents, volunteers of the Parents’ Association and Parents’ Leadership Council.

Family Mass

Madonna della Strada Chapel

Students and their families are invited to join the Loyola community in this annual welcoming tradition.


6:30 PM
Family Picnic

Gentile Center

All new students and their families are invited to an indoor picnic sponsored by Student Affairs.


8 - 10 PM
Loyola-Opoly!

Halas Sports Center, 2nd Floor

Come to Halas Sports Center for a night of live action board game fun! Enjoy food, games, sports, and prizes as you play Loyola’s version of Monopoly.


10 PM - 12 AM
Last Call: The Ultimate Campus Party

Centennial Forum Student Union, Mullady Theater

Come to a night of improvisational comedy where you’ll forget you’re not really in a bar! Brent Scarpo will lampoon college drinking culture all the way to…last call!
