MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

5 PM · GENTILE ARENA 

Regardless of your faith tradition, this Mass provides an opportunity for all members of the Loyola community to pray for God’s blessing on us. Every Loyolan is invited to attend this Mass, which will invoke the blessings of the Holy Spirit for the academic year.

Upperclass Student Move-In, Day 2
8 a.m.–4 p.m. 

Welcome back to Loyola University Chicago and to your residence hall! Move-in dates and times are assigned to students by the Department of Residence Life. For more information, e-mail res-life@luc.eduor call 773.508.3300.

11 a. m. – 3 p. m. 
Centennial Forum Student Union, Rambler Room

Take a guided stroll through the surrounding neighborhood with Welcome Week Leaders and enjoy a light lunch at a local eatery. Space is limited, so come early. Note: open to students only.

Choral Rehearsal for Mass of the Holy Spirit
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., rehearsal Madonna della Strada Chapel
4:00 p.m., warm-up, Gentile Arena

All students are invited to sing for the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, August 26 at 5:00 pm in Gentile Arena. There are no auditions, just come on out ready to sing and have a good time. All music will be supplied.

You’re officially a Rambler now! So, what does that mean? Come hang out with Welcome Week Leaders and Peer Mentors who can explain everything Loyola from school traditions, Jesuit values and education, to social justice on campus. Oh yeah, classes start tomorrow!  What’s a syllabus, how do I open my mailbox, where are my classes, or how do I address my teachers. Come find the answers to all of these questions and any other question you have about being a student at Loyola.

6 p.m.
Gentile Arena

A picnic will be held immediately after mass. Loyola Dining Halls will be closed during this event.
