Bethany Otto is the Graduate Assistant for the Wellness Center, working on a grant that was awarded to Loyola from the Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women. Bethany received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is currently working on her master’s degree in the Applied Social Psychology program at Loyola. Her research interests include: the self, self-esteem, and relationships, specifically with individuals who have experienced chronic victimization. Bethany has experience in gender-based violence prevention in the areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. In her free time, Bethany enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling.
