Welcome to the Wellness Center at Loyola University Chicago. Starting college is an exciting time, but it can also be challenging. It’s normal to have concerns – many new students do. Whether you’re sick for the first time away from home, feeling homesick or overwhelmed, making decisions about drinking, or wanting to eat healthy in the dining halls, we can help.

Please note: You are welcome to contact the Wellness Center over the summer for questions or concerns related to enrollment. You will be eligible for clinical services once you have started school in the fall.
As you begin your time at Loyola, you will have many new responsibilities. This checklist will help you make sure you are meeting all of your health requirements for enrollment:
- Turn in your required immunization records to the Wellness Center. Immunization forms are available online.
- Review AlcoholEdu for College and complete Part 1. Instructions for accessing the course will be e-mailed to you. More information about this program, as well as Loyola's alcohol initiative, is available at: Choice. Control. Character.
- Submit proof of health insurance, either by selecting the Loyola student health plan or electing to use your family's insurance. If you use your family's insurance, check to make sure you will be covered away from home and be sure to get an insurance card. Health insurance requirements are completed through the Office of the Bursar.
Please also consider these suggestions:
- Make arrangements for any pre-exisiting medical or emotional needs you may have. If you notify the Wellness Center, we can connect you to a provider in the area.
- Talk to your health care provider about being immunized against meningitis.
- Make sure you know of any medication allergies you may have.
