Sophomore-Year Programs
Our wellness programs are fun, interactive, and tailored to meet your group's needs. Programs are facilitated by Wellness Center staff and/or Wellness Advocates. Call the Wellness Center at 773.508.2530 to schedule a program for your group (Give us two weeks notice, please!). Programs are available throughout the year unless otherwise noted.
| Relationships: Getting What You Want; Avoiding What You Don't | Want to improve your relationships? This program addresses healthy and not so healthy relationships with a focus on assertive communication and decision-making. Availability: November |
| How to Help a Friend | Concerned about a friend? Not sure how to intervene? Learn guidelines to express your concerns and be supportive to him/her while also taking care of yourself. Availability: September |
| Out of Synch | Is college different than what you expected? How are you handling the expectations placed on you by your peers, professors, and yourself? Are there healthy ways of dealing with the feeling of being out of synch with expectations? Join us to explore coping strategies that will help you to reduce the stress that accompanies these issues. Availability: October, November, February, March |
| Movin' Up, Movin' Out | Even a positive change like moving off campus and experiencing more freedom can cause stress. This program will help students to realize that they are not the only one stressing out over moving out, and provide strategies for reducing and managing the stress related to this transition. Availability: March, April |
