emily knotek, psy.d.

Dr. Emily Knotek graduated with honors from the University of Dayton with a B.A. in Psychology. She completed both her Master’s degree and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Knotek has trained in a variety of settings including college counseling centers, psychiatric in-patient hospitals, primary schools, and community mental health clinics. She completed her clinical internship at the University of South Florida’s Counseling Center. Additionally, she completed her post-doctoral residency at Washington University in Saint Louis where she continued on as a staff psychologist and worked as a core member of the Eating Disorders Treatment Team, was Coordinator of Outreach and Programming, and co-chaired the University's Committee on Sexual Assault. Dr. Knotek joined the Wellness Center team at Loyola in August 2007. In addition to coordinating campus suicide prevention, she works with a broad range of psychological concerns including mood disorders, trauma and sexual abuse, eating disorders, grief and loss, relationship and family issues, diversity issues and GLBTQ concerns.
