Women's Archives Directory

Who has Susan B. Anthony's papers? Where does NOW keep their materials? Looking for family records?

Stop here!

Initiated in 2001, this directory is an ongoing effort to "map" archival repositories with collections relating to women. This directory provides both potential donors and researchers with information about repositories that collect women's history. Best of all, the directory is national in scope and is key word searchable!

How to use this directory:

To search this directory click on the Search link. This will take you to the search engine page where you can look for information by organization name, city, and state as well as conducting a keyword search. Searching by any of these methods will compile a list of organization names. Clicking on a name will bring up the record in a separate window. You will be able to see what types of women's records are being collected where and learn about individual repositories.

Any questions, comments, or concerns about the directory, please contact the project coordinator at wlarchives@luc.edu
