MINOR IN WOMEN'S STUDIES & GENDER STUDIES

A minor in the Women's Studies and Gender Studies Program consists of five courses (or 15 hours). The one required course is either WSGS 101: Introduction to Women's Studies and Gender Studies or WSGS 201: Contemporary Issues in Women's Studies and Gender Studies. The other four courses are electives from courses crosslisted with the WSGS program.

To declare a minor in Women's Studies and Gender Studies, students need to fill out a declaration of minor form (PDF) from WSGS, a declaration of minor (PDF) form from the College of Arts and Sciences, and a student information sheet. Both can be obtained from the Women's Studies and Gender Studies office in Piper Hall 202. The declaration form must be signed by the program director and returned to the Dean's office in the College of Arts and Sciences.
