is FEMisISm still important?

how does feminism (not) apply today?

As part 5 of 12 of our annual special themed issues series, Digest Magazine's "is FEMinISm still important?" issue ponders the question of "how does feminism (not) apply today?"  Often, especially in the United States and at higher political levels all over the world, people ask what place feminism, womanism, and women's rights movements have in the "modern world."  There are many claims that woman are equal to or better off than men.  What do you think?   We invite academic, casual, critical, and artistic contributions for all special themed issues.

"is FEMinISm still important?" comes out annually the fourth week of January.  Our purpose in offering a broad theme is to not limit the large spectrums of topics and experiences having to do with sexism and feminism.  Thus, if you have something you would like to share and you believe it is connected to this theme, we are excited to hear from you.
