Zbody
Zbody is a product of the ongoing fall 2010 conversation between Curtis and a Loyola undergraduate student who has interests and concerns regarding the spaces where feminism intersects pleasure, the body, safety & risk, and sexuality. Due to concerns over the social and career-related risks in providing their full name, "Z" decided to use a pen name rather than risking their Loyola and future careers. It is unfortunate that Z cannot use their real name because of their topics being labeled "deviant," "taboo," and "private," yet it is fortunate that somebody is having this conversation. Although their topic choice and writing style can sometimes be controversial, Z’s only wish is to bring understanding, education, and her opinion to the Loyola community. Digest magazine is proud to not treat these topics as dangerous and bad.

Z is an undergraduate and Women's Studies and Gender Studies student, and has much left to accomplish in her time at Loyola, including various degrees and minors. The time will also be spent exploring her interests, which include gender, sex, sexuality, the process of socialization, and positive social revolutions. Z hopes to one day be an influential woman in society, while continuing to explore her desires to help and educate others in regards to sexuality and the body. |
