massive media
pop culture, technology, and communication

As part 8 of 12 of our annual special themed issues series, Digest magazine's "Massive Media" issue wants to know how technology, media, communication, and language are affecting people in the past, present, and future. Pop culture and media through technological advances may influence us in varying ways, from reinforcing dominant social norms to allowing increasing interconnectedness. New ways of thinking, in addition to ideas that challenge harmful hegemony, may be more accessible with technologies and communication. What do you think? We invite academic, casual, critical, and artistic contributions for all special themed issues.
"Massive Media" comes out annually the first week of April. Our purpose in offering a broad theme is to not limit the large spectrums of topics and experiences having to do with pop culture, technology, and communication.. Thus, if you have something you would like to share and you believe it is connected to this theme, we are excited to hear from you.
