Colorblindness in the Academic Environment

    • This interactive unit articulates how the colorblind paradigm is often utilized within the university context, demonstrates the significant difficulties that can arise from the usage of this paradigm, and provides strategies for more effectively recognizing the individuals racial/ethnic identity within the academic context.

Microaggressions

    • This dynamic interactive workshop reviews the predominant categories of microaggressions across multiple identities including race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and ability. It provides a tool kit for dealing with microaggressions, and, if desired, one to two activities that participants can also take with them to limit the impact of microaggressions in various contexts from groups of professional colleagues to students in a classroom (60-90 min)
