The Loyola Archives & Special Collections Reopening Plan Fall 2020 is now available. As with all things relative to the COVID-19 pandemic, these plans are flexible and may change with little or no warning.
Spring 2021 Access
The Loyola Archives & Special Collections continues to operate under the access guidelines put in place for the fall 2020 semester.
Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, Loyola Archives & Special Collections Staff have limited hours on campus according to the University's policies on de-densification and social distancing. The best way for Special Collections staff to provide the greatest amount of access to the collections is via remote access. Please follow these steps for requesting materials:
1. Contact the Loyola Archives & Special Collections staff for a research consultation via the Ask the Archivist form. Special Collections staff will work with researchers to provide requested materials via remote access.
2. If remote access is not possible, i.e. if a requested item cannot be scanned or photocopied due to size or fragility, then Special Collections staff will work with reserachers to arrange an in-person research appointment. At this time, research appointments are limited in order to follow guidelines from the University and University Libraries.
3. Further information can be found at Archives Access Fall 2020.
To request an appointment or submit a recommendation for items to digitize please use one of the forms available at Archives Forms .
To submit a reference inquiry please use the Ask the Archivist form.
