Major: Communications
High School: Lincoln-Way East, 2019
Involvements: Black Men for Success (BMS), Black Student Union (BSU), and a student worker.

Hello! My name is Charles Jeanty. I'm here to tell you about my Arrupe College experience.

How I chose my major:
I changed from business because I felt that better communication skills would benefit me both personally and professionally. I wanted to learn how to communicate with others in a way that I wanted to be spoken to /with growing up.

My plans after graduation:
Going to Marquette University!

Professor a new student should absolutely take a class with:
Dr. Jennifer Armstrong. She will push you to your limits because she believes in your capabilities and ability to be successful. Her effectiveness in pushing me and supporting me has made me into the man I am today.

Class I never expected to love:
Healthcare Ethics. I took it to meet requirements. It taught me about the injustices and insecurities in the healthcare system. I made me realize the underlying issues in our country and how we can work to correct them.

Best thing I've done since coming to Arrupe:
Changing myself. I have grown as a person and a man. I have learned from challenges and failures to overcome and succeed.

My favorite spot on campus:
Nineth floor in Lewis Library. It has one of the best views of all buildings on WTC. It's peaceful, quiet, and you can get a lot of work done there.

Some surprisingly cool things about Arrupe:
The endless number of opportunities. From college and career opportunities and internships to events and activities.
