Charity Driggs - Baumhart Scholar

Charity has worked at Morningstar, a leading provider of independent investment research, for over three years. She currently works as an Associate Product Manager on Morningstar’s Sustainability Team. In this position, Charity manages the integration of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) data, tools and content into Morningstar’s digital and software products. She also leads ESG marketing efforts to educate and empower the individual investor and retail advisor marketplace. Through this work, Charity partners with her Morningstar and Sustainalytics colleagues to develop new data sets and tools to increase their sustainable investing market reach. Charity also manages Morningstar’s sustainability partnerships and coordinates ESG focused events and webinars. Finally, Charity manages Morningstar’s enterprise-level sustainability efforts. She is currently project managing the creation of Morningstar’s first corporate sustainability report to be released in Q2 2021.

Charity’s previous role was as an Operation’s Analyst in Morningstar’s Investment Management Division. In this role, she delegated projects that facilitated operational improvement such as automating and outsourcing all quarterly production and transitioning clients from paper performance statements to an ecofriendly, e-delivery option. She traveled to Mumbai, India on numerous occasions to train their global team and support their growth and efficiency.

Charity is specifically interested in how Morningstar can utilize its data and products to expand their market to bring financial literacy to underdeveloped communities in Chicago. Additionally, through her coursework she is exploring how to incorporate sustainable business practices to for-profit corporations. Charity received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business in 2017 with a double major in finance and marketing.
