Erica Loper - Baumhart Scholar
Erica serves as Manager, Operations Analytics of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Hyatt is a purpose driven global hospitality company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois; and a widely recognized, industry leading brand rooted in tradition and innovation over its sixty-year history. Erica is responsible for strategic planning and support initiatives to maximize the guest experience, while driving revenue and margin growth for the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands in The Americas, consisting of nearly 400 hotels operating across 10 countries.
Previously, Erica supported the Global Financial Planning & Analysis team analyzing business trends and developing measurement tools to showcase hotel profitability. Prior to her experience in the hospitality sector, Erica worked at Baxter International as part of its Global Rotational Financial Development Program. Erica supported the Medical Products business analyzing new investment and business opportunities, in which she had the privilege of working internationally in Canada and Belgium.
Outside of her normal work responsibilities, Erica is the Events Chair of the Hyatt B.L.A.C.K. diversity business resource group at Hyatt. She works alongside HR to build and execute initiatives to recruit and retain top talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In addition, Erica helps to build awareness and share best practices on how Hyatt can best harness the spending power of African Americans through travel and tourism. Erica received her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University in Washington D.C.
