Mignon Senuta - Baumhart Scholar
Mignon Senuta joined McDonald’s in 2019 and is currently the Manager of International Public Affairs. In this role, Mignon drives strategic external and internal engagement to address regulatory and reputational issues impacting the global business, such as climate change, beef sustainability, packaging and recycling, and deforestation. Working across the enterprise, Mignon influences progressive business decisions and manages the creation and execution of engagement strategies with global stakeholders, including international governmental organizations and NGOs.
Prior to joining McDonald’s, Mignon spent a decade working with nonprofits to enhance communications, resource mobilization, and organizational development. Most recently Mignon led the corporate relations team at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs - an independent and nonpartisan global affairs think tank - overseeing the corporate development strategy, building collaborative corporate partnerships, and growing revenue through increased corporate investment in the Council's programming and research.
Mignon also served in the Peace Corps in Botswana, where she advised local nonprofits, launched multiple youth development programs, and coordinated efforts between USAID, the World Bank, and local government agencies to implement district-wide HIV and gender-based violence campaigns. Mignon’s studies took her to Barcelona and Mexico before graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BA in political science and international studies from Loyola University Chicago.
