Bridget Carney - Baumhart Scholar
Bridget is a Senior Manager on the Corporate Partnerships team at Feeding America. Through a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs, Feeding America provides meals to more than 40 million people each year. Feeding America also supports programs that prevent food waste and improve food security among the community as well as advocates for legislation that protects people from going hungry. As part of the Feeding America Corporate Partnerships team, Bridget collaborates with multinational companies to leverage their funds, expertise, and product to support communities across the country. Specifically, Bridget leads several high-level, highly visible, projects in order to make an impact in the lives of people struggling with food insecurity.
Prior to joining Feeding America, Bridget spent four years on the Development team at the San Francisco and Marin Food Bank in California. She wore many hats at the food bank including managing and stewarding all corporate relationships to elevate the Food Bank’s mission to fight hunger and engage the local community. Before her time on the West Coast, Bridget spent a year as a Corps Volunteer with Fabretto Children’s Foundation in Managua, Nicaragua. She served as the primary English teacher in a rural, agricultural community, taking on art projects and volunteer management outside of the classroom.
Bridget has been a Rambler before as she attended Loyola Academy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Fordham University. She has extensive travel and volunteer experience in Central and South America, Europe, Asia and South Africa.
