Megan recently moved to Chicago in September 2019 to start as Specialist on the planned giving team at Alzheimer’s Association—a leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Megan supports her team to secure gifts from donors through estates, wills, trusts, and beneficiary designations. She also administers the charitable gift annuity program. Megan is passionate about innovative fundraising and investing tactics to help provide resources and create connections for one of the world’s most debilitating diseases.

Previously, Megan worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston where she held a few roles in the Division of Philanthropy. Megan worked on the donor relations and planned giving teams where she fostered her passion for development and health equity.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University, concentrating in Finance, with minors in Social Entrepreneurship and International Affairs. It was through her undergraduate studies, with Northeastern’s Social Enterprise Institute, that she first felt empowered to pursue a career in social impact. She was able to harness the data-driven skills of her business courses, and pair them with her social enterprise courses, to better understand the complex relationship of profit and purpose. Megan feels profoundly fortunate to be continuing her education as a Baumhart Scholar.
