Joy Adams

My name is Joy Adams, pronouns she/her/G, and I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. I attended Northern Illinois University and graduated with my bachelor's degree in Marketing and a certificate in Interactive Marketing. I currently work at Nowpow as a Community Research Specialist. Nowpow is a community referral platform that refers individuals to a variety of health and social services. While in my position, I spearheaded the Nowpow Givesback committee and helped to create several community initiatives such as designing and putting a Little Free Library in Harold Washington Park, collecting donations to sponsor southside families during the holidays, and raising money for southside organizations who are actively pushing change in our communities forward.  I am also apart of our new DEI team and I am eager to learn more about the DEI space so I can effectively communicate and help to implement permanent DEI strategies within my organization.
