Tara Leweling amplifies Allstate’s voice in key conversations about the future of business in America as vice president of Stakeholder Relations and Corporate Thought Leadership in Corporate Relations. In her role, Tara leads the corporate thought leadership agenda across internal and external stakeholders, with an emphasis on the role of business in creating inclusive prosperity and on helping civic groups reach across difference in their communities. 

 

Connecting to Allstate’s stakeholders in a meaningful way is a hallmark of Tara’s work. She leads an integrated executive positioning strategy for the CEO and other leaders to build relationships, lead critical national conversations and amplify Allstate’s story. Working closely with the chairman and CEO, Tara engages stakeholders to drive the relevance, resonance and reach of Allstate’s corporate priorities. She chairs the Allstate Sustainability Council and is an executive co-sponsor of the employee resource group for veterans and military families. 

Prior to joining Allstate, Tara served as Executive Director, International Policy and Programs at JPMorgan Chase, where she led the firm’s global political analysis function and coordinated all facets of the J.P. Morgan International Council, an advisory body of former prime ministers, Cabinet officials and global CEOs. This followed Tara’s nearly 22 years of active duty service in the U.S. Air Force, where she served in several key roles culminating in Acting Senior Director for European Affairs at the National Security Council, during which she advised the U.S. President and National Security Advisor on U.S. policy toward 49 countries and three international organizations in Europe. Prior assignments included Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, Speechwriter to the Secretary of the Air Force and numerous command, planning and operational roles. She has deployed multiple times in support of NATO operations. 

Tara earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and history from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in international relations from Troy State University. She also has a master’s degree in systems engineering and a doctorate in information sciences from the Naval Postgraduate School.
