Executive for People and DEI/Chief People and DEI Executive, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Rhondean is a seasoned HR and diversity professional with over 20 years of experience working in and leading HR functions in mission driven organizations. She joined the churchwide office team of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in 2014 as the Executive for Human Resources and transitioned into her current role as Executive for People and DEI/Chief People and DEI Executive in 2021. In this role, she oversees the People Solutions and DEI functions for the largest Lutheran denomination in the U.S.  With a passion for mentoring and developing women of color, Rhondean also serves as an executive coach and career advisor to women executives in for profit and non-profit leadership.

Rhondean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Chicago State University, a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Development from National–Louis University and is a Certified Professional Diversity Coach through CoachDiversity Institute.

Rhondean’s greatest joy is spending time with her husband and daughter.
