John Dykla, PhD
The Loyola University Chicago community mourns the death of John Dykla, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Physics.
Dr. Dykla earned his BS (Honors) from Loyola in 1966 and his PhD from the California Institute of Technology in 1973. He served as a research associate at the Relativity Center, University of Texas, from 1971–73 and then returned to Loyola as a faculty member in 1973. During his time here, he taught courses in astronomy, physics, and classical mechanics.
