Eugene Cullen Kennedy
The Loyola University Chicago community mourns the death of Eugene Cullen Kennedy, PhD, professor emeritus, psychology. Eugene passed away on June 3.
Eugene was a psychologist, theologian, author, and professor. He taught at Loyola from 1969–1995 and served as professor emeritus from 1995–2015. Colleagues described him as an astute observer of people, especially those who occupied positions of prominence and leadership. He was an expert in human sexuality and the politics of the Catholic Church as well as a psychology professor whose interests extended far beyond the boundaries of the discipline.
