Sr. Gertrude Patch, RSCJ
The Loyola University Chicago community mourns the death of Sr. Gertrude Patch, RSCJ, founder of the University's Office of Faith and Culture. She died on August 24.
Sr. Gertrude came to Loyola in 1992 toward the end of a productive academic career and established the Office of Faith and Culture, providing students, faculty, and staff programs to help them better understand the Jesuit mission.
Her life will be celebrated with Mass on Saturday, September 12 at 10 a.m. at the Oakwood Chapel (140 Valparaiso Avenue, Atherton, California). Burial will be in the Society of the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
