The Loyola University Chicago community mourns the death of Philip Jones, a locksmith in Campus Safety.
Phil joined the University in 1999, working in both Facilities and Campus Safety as a locksmith. During his 16-year tenure, he managed the installation of locks and maintenance of keys during various new building openings across Loyola’s campuses. Most recently, Phil played an important role in the installation of locks at the Schreiber Center at the Water Tower Campus and the Center for Translational Research and Education at the Health Sciences Campus.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, at Mr. Benny’s Steak and Lobster House in Mokena, Illinois. Condolences may be sent to Phil’s family in care of Campus Safety, Granada Center, Lake Shore Campus.
