Student Speaker Profile: Helen Tasho

Helen Tasho is a Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience major. She is headed to the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in the fall to pursue her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. In her speech, Helen compares a student's journey through Loyola to the gestational period of an infant.

"I'd like to congratulate you on the successful delivery of your degree, or degrees for those of you that have delivered twins."

In her free time, Helen enjoys cooking and baking. If Helen could meet any celebrity, she would meet the Barefoot Contessa herself, Ina Garten, so she could eat all of Ina’s delectable dishes. A fun fact about Helen is that she is a first-generation college student, and she speaks four languages.
