Not Transitioning Yet
We do expect to establish a Temporary Tag/Cross-List request in CIM, but until it goes live please use the Temporary Cross-List or Tag form: e-mail the Associate Dean for assistance.

Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM) launched 1 August 2024
Proposals for new courses and academic programs and for changes to existing courses and academic programs now are to be submitted through CIM: please use the Course Inventory Management, Program Management, Policy Request Management, or Intent Request Management portal, as appropriate.
Transition to Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM)
The College of Arts & Sciences and the other undergraduate and graduate Schools of Loyola University Chicago expect to shift all proposals, review, and approval of curricular changes to a centralized online workflow system, the Curriculum Inventory Management system (CIM) for the Fall semester of 2024. This system will supersede the Schools' and University's several review-systems for curricular changes. It will integrate the information hitherto communicated in numerous forms developed in separate units. The CIM will become the vehicle for course, program, and policy additions and modifications at both undergraduate and graduate levels. It will route each request through the appropriate workflow so that all needed bodies can review and approve. The CIM system will be open to all faculty and members of approving committees. Training materials will become available in a SharePoint site. The availability of these materials and the date of the CIM's launch will be announced.
Meeting Schedule and Submission Deadlines
The College of Arts & Science's Academic Council normally meets four times in each of the Fall and Spring semesters during the academic year. Submission deadlines for curricular applications are normally set 3 weeks ahead of the meeting date, to allow time for the Curriculum Committee to review the proposals and work with submitters to clarify and regularize them. Our goal is for changes the Council approves to pass smoothly through the University's other approval-processes and implementation. Changes requiring programming or re-programming of majors and minors normally need to have been approved by the Council no later than the December meeting of any one academic year, to be on-track for implementation as soon as the following Fall semester. New courses and course-changes normally need to have been approved by the Council no later than the February meeting of any one academic year, to be on-track for implementation as soon as the following Fall semester.
CAS-AC Archive
With the launch of CIM for curricular-change proposals, the CAS-AC DocFinity Platform (https://docfinity.luc.edu) retains utility as archive of the proposals reviewed by the Council in academic years from 2017-18 through 2023-24. Access remains limited to authorized user working through a campus terminal or LSA: please check with the Associate Dean to be approved for access in the system. Once you have logged in, look up items in the Searching workspace: specify information in the Metadata Query's input-boxes and zero in. Submitters who updated their indexing information completely will have greatly facilitated these searches! If you find only isolated items through the search-parameter with which you start, you can usually locate the rest of a package by re-searching with the Unique ID.
Google Site
The Academic Council Google site contains an archive of Council materials between 2008-09 and 2014-15.
